U.S. Congress, Trump Ignore Truth On William Browder, Magnitsky Act.

By Jerry Alatalo

William Browder’s 7-hour deposition on April 15, 2015 uncovered many disturbing facts about his narrative of events as they relate to the death of Sergei Magnitsky, for whom the Magnitsky Act was named.

hen the truth about William Browder becomes revealed it will become necessary to rescind, abolish or otherwise get rid of the dangerous U.S.-Russia relations-destroying, lawmaking disaster titled the Magnitsky Act. That is because the Magnitsky Act, along with comparable legislation in Canada and some European Union nations, was founded upon a historic-magnitude lie about the demise of Sergei Magnitsky.

The continuing irresolution of what really happened to Sergei Magnitsky, the circumstances surrounding his incarceration and eventual tragic death, and the highly conflicting narratives coming from the Russian government and former Russian hedge fund operator William Browder has contributed to worsening relations between the governments of the U.S. and the Russian Federation. Unless and until the conflicting narratives become resolved to the point where the full and certain truth becomes revealed, a very serious, unhealthy, irrational and potentially dangerous situation between the two nuclear-armed nations will persist. The controversy must become resolved, making it necessary to finally get to the bottom of the matter, and as rapidly as possible.

The Russian government asserts William Browder is guilty of breaking Russian tax laws, that Sergei Magnitsky was Mr. Browder’s accountant and co-conspirator in tax evasion schemes, Mr. Magnitsky died of complications from pancreatitis while in prison exacerbated by poor medical care conditions in Russian jails and prisons, while placing William Browder on Interpol’s wanted list after convicting him of tax evasion in absentia, after Mr. Browder left Russia for the United Kingdom in 2005.

William Browder asserts Sergei Magnitsky was his lawyer despite – in Mr. Browder’s own words given in an April 2015 deposition lasting 7-hours in the U.S. – Mr. Magnitsky having never studied law or achieved a law degree. Mr. Browder has stated on many occasions that he chose Mr. Magnitsky as his counsel because he was one of Russia’s brightest and most able lawyers. Browder’s narrative claims Magnitsky suffered torture and was eventually murdered in prison because Magnitsky had discovered an alleged corrupt organization of conspirators including inside-the-government law enforcement and tax officials which had stolen Browder’s companies, and then criminally arranged for receipt of a fraudulent tax rebate totaling some $230 million.

The documentary film “Magnitsky Act: Behind the Scenes” by Russian director Andrei Nekrasov – ironically, who had previously been a critic of Vladimir Putin – has been effectively blacked out or censored in America and Europe. Director Nekrasov began the film project holding the belief that William Browder was telling the truth, but as Nekrasov proceeded with his research and production he came to find that Browder’s narrative was and remains a lie, the Russian government’s account of events is true, and therefore the Magnitsky Act was constructed on a false foundation.

William Browder’s 7-hour deposition from April 2015 was obtained by Lee Stranahan and Garland Nixon, co-hosts of “Fault Lines” on Sputnik media, and published/posted in 6-parts at Mr. Stranahan’s populist.tv channel on YouTube in early January 2018. Mr. Stranahan and Mr. Nixon – remarkably, a rare media co-host team with one a Donald Trump supporter and the other a Bernie Sanders supporter – have interviewed director Andrei Nekrasov and author/hedge fund manager from Monaco, Alex Krainer. Mr. Krainer is the author of “The Killing of William Browder”, where the author effectively takes apart William Browder’s highly sophisticated and manipulative deceptions. The book was originally available on Amazon before being taken down in a rare act of literary censorship, the silencing event occurring after pressure became exerted to do so by William Browder’s legal team.

It is vitally important that William F. Browder be exposed to humanity as the highest level confidence man and corrupt financier he is for the obvious reasons. It is equally vital to expose the ultra-powerful forces who’ve arranged – thus far – to both enable his continuing deception and, more importantly, the continued existence of the ill-founded, massively unjust, and extremely dangerous Magnitsky Act.

Director Andrei Nekrasov’s powerful documentary contradicting Bill Browder and the Magnitsky Act’s basis, – “The Magnitsky Act: Behind the Scenes”, – is being censored-blacked out in the Western world. Men and women can view the entire film on Bitchute.com through the following link.

  1. I heard a lengthy interview with Browder on the BBC. I honestly think he works for US intelligence – his statements and actions seem far too extreme for a garden variety scam artist.

    1. Hello Stuart,

We probably know the answer to this question, but just for the hell of it: in the BBC interview was there any pressure at all put on Browder to respond to what Nixon and Stranahan, Nekrasov, Krainer, etc. have unearthed? We thought not.

After a 45-minute wait on the phone, after 1st wishing to bring up the issue with Wisconsin Congressman Mark Pocan, we brought up the Browder/Magnitsky issue on air on the Thom Hartmann Show on FSTV/Direct TV. We were able to assert Browder committed perjury before the U.S. Senate, and emphasize the truth must become revealed because of deteriorating, increasingly dangerous U.S.-Russia relations.

Perhaps we know the answer here as well: will Thom Hartmann do anything, say interview Nekrasov or Krainer, to reveal the truth? Unfortunately, probably unlikely, although one can hope. Thanks.
