Distinguished Chair,

Excellencies, Ladies and gentlemen,

This is my sixth and final report to the General Assembly in my function as Independent Expert on the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order.

The report responds to the invitation contained in General Assembly Resolution 71/190[1] “to continue [my] research into the impact of financial and economic policies pursued by international organizations and other institutions on a democratic and equitable international order, in particular by the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund”.
