War Is Over.

“Art is not necessary at all. All that is necessary to make this world a better place to live is to love – to love as Christ loved, as Buddha loved.”

ISADORA DUNCAN American dancer (1877-1927)

aaa-9Alphabet Certainly men, women, and children around the Earth would agree that the best Christmas gift they could imagine is being able to say that truly war is over. The vision of a world where in fact war has become extinct is one thought about to varying extents by everybody at certain points in life, during those points coming in line with what John Lennon wrote in Imagine: “You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one”.

One can take some comfort in reports which point out that humanity has become less violent through history until today, yet some distance remains between what is occurring now and that time when the world’s people all experience nearly total peace on Earth. Call such a condition perpetual “Silent nights, holy nights”, imagine the world in that actual state, then see through vision global events and circumstances moving in that ultimately positive direction.

One of the more popular songs at this time of year is “Happy Christmas (War Is Over)” by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, and the line which stands out is “War is over, if you want it”. Without getting into a lengthy, philosophical, spiritual discussion, let us admit the obvious fact that there is no debate that virtually every single human being on Earth wants war to become over forever.  Some will respond to a vision of life on Earth where all people live in harmony and peace by saying something like “not in our lifetime”.

There is no power which can stop humanity from wanting and striving for war to end, and here’s to hoping that during this special time of the year many more people will think about peace on Earth and good actions to bring such a beautiful vision into reality. Upon meeting an old friend years ago with his grandson, he said about being with his grandson that they were sharing “quality time”. That old friend has since then passed on to the world of spirit, but in memory of him, along with family, friends, and acquaintances who have left this Earth, may all people receive the Christmas gift of experiencing more “quality time” with family, friends, and even total strangers they meet during their lives.

May humanity use the inherent gifts from the Creator/God/Allah/Great Spirit to transform good thoughts, words and actions into making life on Earth correspond to human beings’ highest vision, potential, morality, compassion and benevolence. May people around the world re-energize for the global effort to create a new and better way of living that allows everyone to experience to the greatest extent quality time. May all people begin living the philosophical, spiritual truths which are the foundation underpinning the profound, ultimate concept “love changes everything”.

Such a gift to the human family cannot be described using words in any language.

    1. Michele,
Yes, “War Is Over” speaks to a very beautiful concept without a doubt. And awareness of the spiritual definition of Namaste, where people honor the sacred in each other, is precisely what makes possible such a peaceful way of living on Earth.
      Thanks,
      Jerry
