his is the bill put forward by United States Congressmen Stephen Lynch of Massachusetts, Thomas Massie of Kentucky, and Walter Jones of North Carolina that calls for President Barack Obama to declassify 28 pages related to Saudi Arabian financing of 9/11. Barack Obama told – promised, actually – families of victims on 9/11 that he would declassify those 28 pages, but, according to 9/11 victim family members President Obama “broke his promise” and, in stronger, more direct terms like one father in the video/press conference used – “he lied”.
This is a colossal world-consequence issue.
It is difficult to imagine just how far-reaching the information contained in the documents is, and one can imagine future revelations of a world-changing nature upon release. It is important to remember that once these documents become public and declassified, the change the world’s people will experience is positive. When George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Dick Cheney, and the rest of the Iraq War criminals think about declassifying this information they must start sweating profusely. In a just and fair world that is exactly how it should happen, because justice is rapidly approaching.
Is it possible an “October surprise” event can surpass Joe Biden’s revelations around two weeks ago when he told the world Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and others were financing ISIS? Yes, an even more powerful October surprise is possible. A global October surprise. President Barack Obama’s declassification of the 28 pages will show historical facts of such mind-boggling size there would be no precedent for comparison.
Co-chairmen of the 9/11 Commission Thomas Kean and Lee Hamilton have said the 28 pages “present no threat to United States national security” and agree they should become declassified and available to all Americans. Every member of the US Congress who has read the 28 pages agrees they should become declassified. What can only be described as a major disappointment is the fact that most members of the US Congress, even though there are no restrictions barring them from reading the documents – almost every Congressman has the required clearance – have not read the 28 pages.
The fact that most of America’s elected representatives have not read these documents while there are no restrictions for them to do so warrants some further comment. It is beyond astonishing that it is even possible that every elected member of Congress has not read this extremely important information on who financed the events which occurred on September 11, 2001 – arguably the most significant date of the 21st century. To those readers living in the United States, just imagine for a moment that you are an elected member of the US Congress, you know those 28 pages are available for you to read, and it’s simply your choice whether to read them or not.
Remember, these 28 pages have been available for Senators and Congressmen to read for 13 years after the George W. Bush administration classified them. Congressmen Jones of North Carolina stresses how important is remembering the George W. Bush administration’s responsibility for classifying these documents. It is important to remember that the Bush family and the Saudi royal family have been longtime, close friends for decades. It is also important to remember that when the Saudi government requested declassifying the 28 pages back in the year 2003, on that occasion the Bush administration declined to do so. Congressman Lynch of Massachusetts’ response to the 2003 Saudi request included the word “duplicity”.
If the Saudis and the Bush administration in 2003 were practicing deceitfulness (the meaning of duplicity) with regard to the 28 pages, there would be zero risk for the Saudis when making a request they knew would result in the continuing classified status of the 28 pages – an enormous public relations stunt agreed upon by the Saudis and the Bush administration. Since 2003 the Saudis have been silent on releasing the 28 pages. Once the American people become aware and demand their elected representatives act and these 28 pages become read by more US lawmakers, public and Congressional pressure becomes too much and Barack Obama releases to the public, and the information becomes available to all Americans – the world will witness emergence of a scandal of historic proportions.
When running for President in 2004 against George W. Bush, then-Senator John Kerry called on the Bush administration to declassify the 28 pages. Could Vice President Joe Biden’s “October surprise” have been only the junior varsity version and the varsity version will become unveiled before the mid-term elections when Barack Obama decides to declassify the 28 pages? Of course, this is only a conjecture. Whatever the reasons for Barack Obama’s decision until now to preserve the classified status of the 28 pages, after watching the following video and listening to lawmakers and family of victims of 9/11 you will fully understand the overwhelming argument for declassification.
If you are an American citizen please ask yourself the question: “Would I read the 28 pages?” Ask yourself if every American citizen needs to know what is found in those documents. Ask yourself if what is in those documents has a direct relation to what is now occurring in the Middle East – namely Saudi-financed (Joe Biden told the world) Islamic State (ISIS/IS). Have you seen any comments about the 28 pages coming from the mouths of George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, George Tenet, etc. lately?
It may be impossible to overestate how extremely important it is that the American people become determined and act to force Barack Obama’s releasing of these documents. Organize, share this video as widely as possible, tell your family, friends, and email/social media contacts to call their members of Congress urging them to read the 28 pages then join with Congressmen Jones, Lynch, Massie, and a growing list of others in supporting H.R. 428. Demand the truth be told.
Strongly consider how Barack Obama’s decision on these 28 pages has very direct, current, major consequences related to escalation of violence or de-escalation of violence in the Middle East. Please consider taking powerful, effective action.
