“He who does not bellow the truth when he knows the truth makes himself the accomplice of liars and forgers.”

– Charles Peguy (1873-1914)

mountain11Jesse Ventura of “Off the Grid” and Cenk Uygur of “The Young Turks” spend some time talking about the state of the media and why people are turning away from the mainstream to the alternative/internet sources. Mr. Uygur and Mr. Ventura have both experienced dealing with media corporations’ shaping and constraining their on-air talent to conform to less-than-true journalism.

Time will tell what extent of truth they unveil in the days and weeks ahead. Placing a quote from Thomas Jefferson warning about giving the power to create money to private corporations toward the end of their discussion was both surprising and encouraging. It would seem to give evidence that these are men who have decided to speak the truth to the American people, at a time when the people are well ready for it.

The program begins with a screen reading a question about the possibility of a President Ventura. Although Mr. Ventura comes across as the guy you’d want to have a beer with, as a man who enjoys a laugh with his friends, some have the opinion that he may lack the gravitas to become president. One thing he has going for him which voters would like is that he speaks his mind with a consistent drive toward the truth about issues.

If only he had never been a professional wrestler. Mr. Ventura has to be given credit for accepting no corporate or PAC money when he ran for governor of Minnesota, and his firm stance on keeping lobbyists out of his office after his election. He shares the “beer drinking buddy” personality with George W. Bush but, in direct contrast to the intentionally lying, war criminal, mass murderer Bush, Ventura is someone who comes across as a man who people can trust.

He’d be an interesting candidate for president at least because he will bring up issues and historical facts that need to be in the awareness of American citizens. Would he win? The people of Minnesota and surrounding states were probably surprised when he became the governor. Many people are probably hoping he does run, simply to provide a “truth shakeup” in both Washington, D.C. and around the country.

Maybe during primary debates he’ll say enough about September 11, 2001 that a real investigation gets done, which after more than a dozen years is absolutely necessary to arrive at the truth of what truly happened on that historic day. Maybe during those same primary debates he’ll say enough about the private central banks around the world like the United States Federal Reserve that the “taboo” subject of government issue and control of currency will become the topics of conversations between “beer buddies” watching the football game across America.

Maybe Cenk Uygur’s efforts with Wolf Pac ( will become successful, and money will finally be removed from the election/campaign/political process in America. Maybe Cenk Uygur will become one of the finest journalists the United States has ever seen, doing reporting that brings truth to the people in ways journalist “hall-of-famers” from the past could only have dreamed of.

Maybe Mr. Uygur will join forces with Jesse Ventura and other men and women reporters – with all truth-seekers – and produce interviews, documentaries, and panel discussions that will amaze viewers around the world, exposing high, medium, and small levels of corruption, illegality, immorality, and every other destructive action taken by human beings that hurt – not help – their fellow human beings’ chances to live more peaceful, happy lives.

Maybe, after exposing the tragedy-inducing actions of human beings, these truth servants and loyalists – along with a worldwide internet team of men and women aiming for the same goals – will continue on and produce interviews, documentaries, essays, and panel discussions that will amaze viewers around the world, bringing forward high, medium, and small levels of solutions, rule-of-law, moral backbone, and actions taken that help – not harm – their fellow men and women around the world through creation of a more just and peaceful, sharing and caring way of living on this Earth.

So be it.
