“New opinions are always suspected, and usually opposed, without any other reason but because they are not already common.”

John Locke (1632-1704)

It is time for people to face the facts and admit that hemp is a tremendously beneficial plant.

Industrial hemp is grown in France, China, England, Germany, Switzerland, Canada and other countries around the world. It has been made into high quality paper, which would decrease the number of trees which are cut down. It has been used to produce high quality textiles which are more breathable and ten times stronger than cotton.

It has been made into high quality bricks and chipboard for building construction. It is used to produce biofuels. It has been made into high protein foods and healthy omega rich oils. It has been used to produce plastics.

It grows very quickly, anywhere, and requires less water and chemicals than traditional crops like cotton, or trees. So there is no argument that hemp production would benefit humanity in many ways, including economic development for the thousands and thousands of people who would farm it.

So what is the holdup?

The owners of lumber, paper, cotton, plastics, pharmaceutical and other companies which like things just the way they are. Any allowance or approval of hemp related beneficial products by the American government would take a bite out of profits, especially good profits for those who manufacture drugs, and market share. We can’t be having that now, can we?

The following short documentary was produced by the young people at wearechange.org. The video explores the medical benefits of cannabis oil.

Just one question…

Is it wrong to help people improve their health and well-being?

    1. Kaycie,
How have you been. The hemp plant could be said to be a miraculous one. It has so many beneficial uses that it is a crime not to allow people to experience those benefits. The whole debate on hemp has become “Catch-22ish”, a very bad joke. The Creator put the hemp plant on Earth to use in good ways. Those against industrial hemp are many times speaking of “freedom.” In the case of hemp it is time to stop “talking the talk” and start “walking the talk.” If those who are against industrial hemp farming have an issue with the Creator, that is their business. Just get out of the way of those who have come to realize that “My arms are too short to box with God”!
      Thanks Kaycie,

        1. Kaycers,
Your use of the word interesting reminds me of the guy who, when asked by his wife what he thought of her new dress, replied “interesting.” My guess is that your interesting was complimentary, so thank you. Have a great day.
